April 2026
- Added 500+ supplement products (vitamins, minerals, probiotics, herbal) with adapted scoring model for TGA-regulated products.
- Expanded beauty and personal care coverage to include skincare, sunscreen, and hair care categories.
- Updated additive safety assessments to reflect latest EFSA re-evaluations of titanium dioxide (E171) and certain emulsifiers.
March 2026
- Introduced category-relative scoring v2 — refined how category weights are applied to nutritional profiling.
- Added processing level as a formal scoring dimension (previously advisory only).
- Recalibrated sugar weighting for breakfast cereals and snack bars following analysis showing these categories drive the largest share of hidden added sugar.
February 2026
- Implemented fuzzy search with accent-insensitive matching across product names and brands.
- Added fibre as a positive scoring factor (previously neutral) based on updated WHO dietary guidelines.
- Expanded ingredient database by 1,200 entries, covering new additives and proprietary blends in supplement products.
January 2026
- Trulu scoring model v1.0 launched with 3,000+ products across food, drinks, and snacks.
- Initial ingredient database built from FSANZ, EFSA, and peer-reviewed sources covering 4,000+ individual ingredients.
- Scoring dimensions: ingredient quality, additive flags, nutritional profile. Processing level included as advisory.
